Airing out the Kids

Made 2 trips to the park today. Had to get the kids out for a bit of fresh air and take preventive measures against cabin fever. In this photo the there was an escalating argument over who's turn it was to ride a springed horse. With playtime's imaginations running wild, it in fact, was Jakes land speeder and Ash's princess pony. Sounds like a bit of an identity crises for the poor thing.
The Day after Thanksgiving....

At the behest of my sister in law, I am going to be updating my blog with a bit more frequency. With some additional time on my hand now, so I have no excuse not to.
Spent today hanging out with the kids.... Today is black friday for Helen and she took off at around 8:30 for a day of toil. This AM we took a walk over to the Clocktower to find a working redbox and return a movie we have had in our possession for a week. Let me first say, I love Redbox. A buck a night for a film is great. BUT.... I have a problem returning them the night after we've watched them. I cant tell you how many I have sitting down in our entertainment center that now "own" because I could not be bothered to return them. I am a pretty frugal guy so I am a bit shocked at my lackadaisical attitude at returning rental movies. The same goes for library books. I guess is the effort necessary to get off my butt and return something that has such little cost. Anyway.... back to the day. Found a working machine and proceeded to return the afore mentioned late movie and got Wall E for the kids and the Incredible Hulk for Dad. I must say that I have been pretty impressed with Marvel's most recent treatment of their properties. Iron Man was a great film. Like could be said for the Hulk. I am looking forward to the upcoming Thor and Avengers films. My wife if she were home and had some intput into this entry would be rolling her eyes and telling me to get a life...
