Outside Mummy's store

Our 2 little miscreants stopped before going into mummy's store for a picture.

Saturday Afternoon

Posted by The Yank

Were getting ready to go pick up Mummy. The Kids have been for the most part good (an account of our morning will be published a little later today)... the afternoon included a nice long nap for the kids. Dad spent it doing "the necessaries" i.e. housework.

Basement Picnic

We got home a little later than usual last night and Helen was feeling generous this week. She let the kids eat dinner down in the basement while watching American Idol. Normally it would have been eat and then bed.

Late Thursday

10 PM. Helen just walked in the door. She had an event. A Purple Label big shot from New York came down to show the latest swatches for this years Made to Measure event. It's a party we would never attend if Helen didn't work for the company. $3 to $5k for a suit. Not even a bespoke one at that. Still way out of my price range. I must admit the fabric is a bit like wearing a suit of butter, without the mess.

Helen,Jake, and Ash

The kiddies wanted to take some pictures at the beginning of FHE. Soon after this one was taken Ash had a complete meltdown. It took Jake a couple of takes to get photogenic.

Custom bookshelf

Posted by The Yank

We were looking for a custom made built-in bookshelf. The visual folks at Helen's store recommended we talk to they guy who does the cabinetry for their window displays. He did fantastic work.

This one's for you mom...

You asked for a picture of the couch a while ago.... I' don't know if you will ever sit on it. Your feet won't reach the ground

Digital Camera, finally.

Just bought one. Fujifilm Finepics J10. It's about time. No longer have to use my camera phone. Stay tuned for some photos.

Big Dance for My Terps....

Not a chance. They blew it this weekend. To Virgina of all teams. They had a chance to clinch a spot after the Carolina win. 4 games out and the wheels came off the bus. Now the only chance they have of getting in the tourney is by winning the ACC tournament. Yeah Right.

This weekend... not much doing

Springtime is around the corner. We're looking at a 50 degree day here in Washington D.C., which is right around the average temperature for early March. Spent the weekend watching the kiddies. Mainly hanging out at the house decompressing from a busy week. We did go out and get Jake a bag for his Tae Kwon Do sparing gear. We picked up his gear late last week. Head protector, chest shield, arm and shin guards.... and get this ... a cup. I did not know they made them for 6 year olds. He starts full contact sparing today.

At the request of her GM, Helen worked at the Ralph store in Tysons Corner. It was dead. Whats worse, a coworker called to tell her it was busy in Chevy Chase. She was not a happy bunny when she came home Saturday night.
